About Jac

I build products and lead teams across a range of consumer domains — from live games to creator economy, subscription media, social/viral mechanics, and ML-powered tools. My happy place lies at the intersection of technology, design, and value creation, where I can craft products that feel good to use and create lasting impact.

Currently, I am the Product Director at The New York Times Games, where I lead engagement and retention strategy for a portfolio of puzzle experiences you may know, including Wordle, Connections, Spelling Bee, and Strands.

Previously at Medium, I built products that helped hundreds of thousands of writers, from public figures to independent bloggers, grow their audience and revenue.  Before that, at BuzzFeed, I led the design of rapid-experimental viral games, built internal analytics tools as I transitioned from design into product, and eventually led the team developing a smart, automated content distribution system that drove a substantial portion of the company’s traffic and video ad revenue.

I consider myself fortunate to have had many opportunities to lead and learn from cross-functional teams of exceptionally talented individuals in solving various types of problems. Whenever possible, I strive to create environments where people can do their best work and great ideas can flourish.
